I told you once that the 5 stones have 5 reasons for being there. Each stone is related to a moment where my
feelings towards you took a major leap forward. Such is the moment I met you. The moment I knew you
are a person I want to keep in my life. What I didn't know in that moment, was that a ring had started
taking shape in my mind.
Benny, we came a long way. From petting a dog as strangers, to being partners in crime. In this time we
created countless moments worthy of a diamond on your finger. Below you will find only five of them
that encouraged me to ask if you would like to spend the rest of our lives together.

The Ring

Where do I start... well, some asteroids came and bombarded our earth, which deposited some gold in the
earth's crust. About 3.9 billion years later, I went to Oogst in Amsterdam to start the design of your ring.
I was looking to make something that felt natural, intuitive, organic. Something that was
delicate and sophisticated, but strong and durable. Something unconventional, beautiful and unimposing.
Something that holds substance in simplicity. Something that is you.

Stone One
Brick House

The Moment
It is true, the first thing I ever gave you was a brick. We had a couple of
cocktails in Hiding in Plain Sight and we got hungry. We were lucky enough to get Steven to make
us a steak in Pelusa after closing, but there was a problem. I had to take Willie out and feed him,
and the restaurant was already keeping the kitchen open just for us.
Benny this is one moment which showed me we were a team from day one, I went and
kept our promise to the chef that we will be there shortly, and you went and took care of Willie.
Then we had an amazing night!
I could not believe how lucky I was to have met you!

The Moment
One of the pivotal points in our relationship for me, was your return from the
Dubai install. Until that point, I still had my emotions in reins.
But when I saw and felt your presence again I realized how much I missed you.
I felt an indescribable sense of joy, which was completely unlike me up until that point.
I have never known what it is like to miss someone so intensely, and the immense joy you feel when
you get to hear their voice in person again.
Benny, this is one moment that made me realize how
beautiful
life is when you are by my side. I knew then you are something I cannot do without.

Snail

The Moment
We went to Lentekabinet with Monica and Rachel. We had a great time in Twiske,
the music was very good, we danced at all stages stayed until the end and you were a perfect host
and a very good friend even though it is not always easy.
On the way back, we decided to walk from the Noord station all the way to Hammarbystraat, when all
of a sudden we saw a bunch of snails on the ground. Naturally you laid down on the path in
Noorderpark and posed with said snails, after being at a festival for the entire day.
Benny, this is one moment where my heart literally exploded. Those three snails made you
so happy, and this was such an honest feeling, that it was clear to me you felt free and safe to
be who you really are.

DGTL

The Moment
So now we are at our first DGTL. Just 10 minutes from the Noord
apartment. We were not sure if we wanted to go, we were thinking about tickets, we were tired,
we were in some kind of a bad period. But we said, let's get a ticket and just go, we see how we
feel.
We arrived, checked out some stages and started dancing. We made some dancefloor friends (the
hairband girl and the guy with the fur coat). I just remember you dancing in front of me, then
turning around and saying - "GOGI I MADE A FRIEND!" while still dancing.
Benny, in that one moment the entire negative energy drained from the world, and I realized
that whatever we are going through, we can overcome it and come out smiling on the other side.

Andros

The Moment
I have not been on vacation until we went to Andros. This was mind, body and
soul healing. I do not have to write all the reasons we liked Andros. It was the right place and the
right time for us.
One day as we were driving we stumbled upon a village and a small restaurant by a church. There we
probably had what felt like the most delicious meal with such ease and peace that can only happen when
your soul is in its place.
The sun was setting, we were quite full and we were getting ready to leave, the sun was hitting your
face at just the right angle as you said "Ah this was amazing! I am so full but I love you soooo much!".
Benny, in that one moment I felt like I had EVERYTHING. This is when I knew I am going to
propose to you.
